Tips on How to Clear Breakouts

Updated: Mar 24, 2020

Struggling with stubborn breakouts? Tried every skincare product under the sun? Sometimes breakouts can be based on what is going on inside the body like hormones, stress, poor diet & more. Try these few tips to help you clear your skin!

After researching, I came across something called face mapping. Now if you never heard of it before "Face mapping," is an ancient practice rooted in India, which connects a point on your face to an organ or body part so you know what to treat internally for clear external results. For example, breakouts on your chin might mean hormonal imbalances. Your chin is most likely where hormonal imbalances and stress will show, which means you're more likely to break out there around your menstrual cycle. Breakouts on the forehead can mean poor diet, poor sleep habits, digestive problems & more. Try analyzing where you get most of your breakouts and try minimizing those triggers.

A few tips to follow to minimize acne are:

1.) Minimizing dairy intake! Dairy has a lot of hormones & added sugars that can cause more inflammation in the body. Switching from cows milk to coconut or almond is a better option.

2.) Drink water. Drinking a lot of water daily helps cleanse out not only your body but helps flush toxins out of your skin. You should be drinking half of your body weight is in ounces of water daily.

3.) Get 8 hours of sleep. Getting enough sleep is crucial to not only your organs but your skin as well. When you are sleep-deprived, your body makes more of the stress hormone cortisol. Which causes more breakouts.

4.) Reduce Stress. A flood of the hormone cortisol can flood the immune system when stressed out. This causes breakouts. Try reducing stress by doing daily meditations or yoga.

5.) Clean Your Makeup Brushes! What a lot of people don't realize is that your makeup brushes & beauty blenders harbor bacteria if they aren't cleaned. Clean your brushes after each use if possible.
